We are an investment house and brokerage firm of Standard Bank Group with access to various local, regional, and international markets through Standard Bank Group.
Brief History
Sbg Securities Uganda Limited ‘Sbg Uganda’ is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanbic Uganda Holdings ‘SUHL’ a firm listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange ‘USE’ and a member of Standard Bank Group.
In 2021, Sbg Uganda Limited was awarded a stock brokerage license by the Capital Markets Authority Uganda and became a trading participant of the Uganda Securities Exchange. SBGS Uganda aims at creating a better operating platform to serve clients and benefit other stakeholders.
In December 2021, Sbg Securities Uganda received its Unit Trust Manager licence and acquired a Fund Manager license from Capital Markets Authority Uganda in 2023.
The Company has since launched its Unit Trust offering, The Stanbic Unit Trust has been the transaction advisor and lead sponsoring broker to one of East Africa’s largest initial public offer - MTN Uganda Limited and other corporate related transactions.

- Assets Under Management (‘AUM’) as of 31 December 2022 was Ushs.18.5 billion and we delivered
competitive returns to our unit holders.. - Revenue from securities trading marginally increased to Ushs. 567 million in 2022 from Ushs. 339 million
in 2021. The underlying driver of the growth includes secondary trades following the MTN Uganda listing.
Revenue from our retail investors inc2reased on account of dividends being re-invested.
